Masterson’s Tavern , nestled in the bustling area of Moonee Ponds , advertises itself as a stylish, alternative venue , but my most recent experience at this establishment turned into one of the worst experiences of my life . While the bar may look welcoming at first glance , what I encountered behind its entrance was disturbing and far below any standard .

From the moment I walked in , it was clear that sanitation was not a priority at this bar . The surfaces were tacky , and a foul smell of old alcohol and uncleaned toilets suffused the entire pub. Reeking of a mixture of urine , a rotting odor and sour vomit .
